Advent at FUMCO

Not Yet Christmas

an Advent devotional

This Advent season, we as a church will read J.D. Walt’s Not Yet Christmas together daily beginning December 1. The readings are brief and cover a variety of topics related to keeping our focus on Christ during Advent. The staff will share videos via email and social media each day, to give personal testimony on each topic. All sermons in December will be based on this book’s content. Pick up your copy any time for a suggested $5 donation.

Tulsa Festival Ringers

December 3rd, 7pm

We’re delighted to host the Tulsa Festival Ringers, an auditioned handbell choir, to share their gifts with us this year! This holiday concert will feature songs of the season. The concert, Christmas Is,  is free and open to the public. Put it on your calendar and bring a friend!

Christmas Sunday

December 16th

Our musicians have been hard at work preparing a beautiful Christmas program for the whole church to enjoy. On this special Sunday, we will consolidate into TWO SERVICES at 8:45 & 10:45 for this meaningful time of worship centered around The Word Became Flesh, the story of our Savior’s birth told through music.
Also, instead of Sunday School, all the 1st floor rooms will be set up for a church wide brunch* to be served between the services at 9:45. We pray that this morning will be a wonderful time of fellowship and worship for our church family!
*A-M bring 1 lb of fruit washed and ready to eat
*N-Z bring a bag of bagels (or some other bread or pastry)

Breakfast casseroles & drinks will be provided

Christmas Eve Services

December 24th

Kids Show & Tell | 5pm

This service is tailored for families, and each child (ages 2-11) will get a keepsake to “show and tell” the story of Christ’s birth so they can participate in the story and remember it for years to come.  We’ll also sing some of our favorite carols!

Lessons & Carols | 7pm & 11pm

Come and hear the Christmas story told through Scripture and song.  We’ll read the story of Jesus’ birth straight from the Gospels and respond with carol singing and candlelight to bring a meaningful end to this special day.
